What happened at the 2007 Omnitech Product Launch?
Apart from guest speakers from Sweden and the USA… a lunch of grilled sirloin steak with rosemary jus, sautéed Asian greens and roasted chat potato with garlic and thyme…and show bags filled with goodies… there was over $200,000 dollars worth of playground equipment on display showcasing the impressive range of innovative designs and quality workmanship that Omnitech offers.
The 2007 Omnitech Product Launch was held on a sunny Friday afternoon in November at The Como hotel in South Yarra, Melbourne. Our guests arrived at 10AM for scones and tea before settling in to hear the first session of guest speakers.
Billy Joyce (PlayPower, Inc., USA) and Stellan Gustafsson (HAGS, Sweden) provided entertaining and informative presentations covering topics such as the PlayPower and HAGS product range and global recreation trends. Following this, guests made their way down the red carpet onto the Central Green to inspect the large range of equipment on display.
With Omnitech staff on hand to answer questions and provide in-depth information, guests were able to see the various materials, design concepts, colour schemes, and age ranges of equipment from Omnitech’s vast product range. Our colourful new C-Spring riders, the HAGS Agito Q and the Nexus Core proved to be popular drawing many admiring glances.
Back inside and after a delicious gourmet lunch, guests were ready to hear the second session of guest speakers.
Clive Dodd (Consulting Coordination) spoke about understanding the different roles in the management of playground safety, whilst Mark Eriksson (Pittwater Council, NSW) gave us insights on strategies for developing successful playgrounds in local government.
Following another look at the playground equipment showcase, some guests enjoyed a relaxing afternoon tea in the sun whilst others preferred a cold drink in The Como’s SoBar.
